Sarah Spencer

(We have a Facebook page now – do come and “like” us and say hi)

I discovered Sarah Spencer on twitter. She’s an extraordinary young artist who paints cyborgs. Which you wouldn’t have thought would interest us greatly. But Sarah’s paintings are different. Using both oils and watercolour, Sarah’s pictures resemble living autopsies, peeling away the skin to reveal the machine below. And she concentrates on the face, where the emotion seems so real. And so sad. The result is a breathtaking meditation on what it is to be human. Buy some of her work. Because soon you won’t be able to afford it and you’ll be sorry you didn’t while you could.
