It’s National Short Story Week. What a super idea. There’s very limited listings given, but that’s something we can help with for next time (I’m sure people will add places they find the best shorts to the comments).
But this is a time to celebrate the wonderful short story. We love it in all its unpindownableness. Just take a look at Into the Desert, and the Year Zero Writers website and you’ll find some amazing examples.
There are all sorts of things we could have done to celebrate, like list our favourite stories, or give you a list of links.
But we’d rather celebrate with an announcement
We are doing our bit for short stories in 2011.
We will be publishing Robert James Russell‘s debut collection The Mating Habits of College Girls
A further announcement to follow
