Surreal – I hope I’ve ‘got’ this – it’s one hell of a drug-induced trip. It’s a stream of yearning consciousness, at least it is on the surface. I don’t mean it’s gone straight from the poet’s brain to the page – there’s real craftsmanship present here and I think Marc’s poem demands re-reading – in a good way.
